My First Practical in Audio Engineering / Friday, July 28, 2006
Hmm my first practical...it was awesome as it was the first ever live sound event that we (Live Sound's Student) are involved in. Our job was to mic the whole event for recording purposes as requested by the event manager. Finally a test for all the effort we put into our theory classes had finally paid off as the event was a success and the event manager was pleased with the work we did. Sure there has been complications but the result was superb...the whole came alive with the properly place miking position by us. I am glad of what we accomplished since it was our first ever event. Damn, we didnt get paid but luckily Jeffrey (our lecturer) treat us to a meal and unwillingly gave us a shock that he found another job and that day was his last day of work. He's awesome but when you are at his young age, im sure u would try other jobs as to find which one to your liking. To me, audio engineering is unique in its own way. Hell, i never knew that a live event involve this much of work. When you watch them at home on the TV or watch people performing while you walking home, you may think that its nothing but once you are involved in running it, then it sort of opened up your eyes to a new level. Anyway, enuff of me talking jubberish, and here are few pictures from it:
Whoa...dont think thats a few...
